As the school year comes to a close, it’s time for the list of up and coming movies and games. As usual, there will be two video games and two movies.
The first game on this list is “Elden Ring: Nightreign.” This game will be released on May 30. FromSoftware created this game. It will be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. “Elden Ring: Nightreign” is not a sequel to “Elden Ring.” It stands on its own while still taking place within the “Elden Ring” universe. This game is a co-op game that can have up to three players. “Elden Ring: Nightreign” has the players take on bosses at the end of each night while having the daytime to find the proper weapons and equipment to deal with said bosses.
The other game that makes the cut is “Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny.” It will be released on May 23. This game will be
released on the PlayStation4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. “Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny” was originally released back in 2002 for the PlayStation 2. This game may be a sequel, but the main character is different from the first so people could play it without feeling out of place. The story of the game follows the protagonist Jubei Yagyu on his quest to defeat the demon lord and bring peace to the lands. “Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny” was made by Bandai Namco.
The first movie that makes the list is “Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning.” The movie will be released on May 23. This movie is directed by Christopher McQuarrie. It is produced by Skydance Media TC Productions New Republic Pictures, and released by Paramount Pictures. “Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning” has Tom Cruise, Hannah Waddingham, Tramell Tillman, and more. This movie is a direct sequel to “Mission Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One.” It was originally announced as “Mission Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part Two” before they went with other plans.
The last movie is “Lilo and Stitch.” This is a live action remake to the 2002 Disney classic. To recap the plot of the movie, it’s about an alien fugitive that attempts to mend a broken family. The remake of the movie is directed by Dean Fleischer Camp and released by Walt Disney Studios. The movie has Chris Sanders, Maia Kealoha, Sydney Agudong, and more. Filming for the movie wrapped in March of this year.
This concludes the list of new releases for May and the rest of the school year. As usual, there are more releases than the ones I chose to bring attention to, so be By: on the lookout.
