Mystic Media Lead Positions
The following lead positions may be eligible for a BSC Foundation Scholarship and hourly compensation as a student employee of Bismarck State College.
All the leadership positions include the following requirements:

Recruiting, supervising and mentoring student media staff.

Ensuring deadlines are met.
-
Acting as a spokesperson for Mystic Media.
The Mystician Editor-in-Chief
The EIC manages the production and planning of The Mystician.

The Mystician EIC’s duties include:
-
Helping organize and lead The Mystician meetings.
-
Assigning stories to reporters, photographers, designers and other staff.
-
Deciding what content will be published.
-
Assisting and mentoring staff.
-
Evaluating stories to be accurate, fair, balanced and ethically presented.
-
Ensuring publication and distribution of each issue.​​
MystiCast Executive Producer
The executive producer oversees the planning and production of MystiCast.
​
The MystiCast Executive Producer’s duties include:
-
Helping organize and lead MystiCast meetings.
-
Assigning stories to reporters and videographers.
-
Deciding what content will be aired and what format.
-
Assisting anchors and production crew.
-
Checking for accuracy and fair, non-biased reporting.
-
Ensuring the production, editing and distribution of each MystiCast production.
The MYX Production Manager
The production manager coordinates content for The MYX.

The MYX Production Manager’s duties include:
-
Helping organize and lead The MYX meetings.
-
Coordinating with student DJs to develop show content.
-
Managing segments that air each week and maintaining a broadcasting schedule.
-
Developing and producing content for radio packages and sponsorships.
-
Updating and managing music library.
-
Setting up and acting as lead producer for live productions.
-
Screening broadcasts and content for potentially libelous or inappropriate material.
Mystic Media Coordinator
The coordinator oversees all aspects of Mystic Media.

The Mystic Media Coordinator's duties include:

Working with The Mystician EIC to organize Mystic Media staff meetings.
-
Updating the Mystic Media website.
-
Helping oversee content of productions and check for accuracy, balanced and non-biased reporting and consistency.

Working with multiple social media accounts.
-
Coordinating and organizing Mystic Media events on campus.
